Speedometer Problem and tried replacing

I researched many threads, and everyone says, speed sensor or gauges. My speedometer is stuck at zero, and moves sometimes but then stops working. The car also stalls at stoplights. Ive replaced the speedometer and the speedsensor, and this hasnt fixed the problem. I have also unluged the battery and tried seeing if reseting would make a difference and it didnt. I have also checked to see if the speedsensor was pluged in and it is also ive checked that there is electrical current going to it and checked the fuses. Is there anything else that i can check.

I have a 2g eclipse gst
 
Something wrong with the gauge cluster maybe? - Maybe the connection between the cluster connector and the speedometer itself is bad.
 
when i got my car back after my engine was rebuilt my speedometer wasn't working but i kept driving it then it finally started to work again, so...
