95 to 97 conversion

I have the opportunity to trade my 99 GS for a 95 gs-t. It's possible to put a 97-99 style wing on the back and fron end conversion. Are the fenders and hood the same? I'll need front bumper skin and headlights, is there anything I'm missing, I really love the look of the 97-99, but I just gotta have the 4g63 under the hood. I don't have the money to build a 420 motor, or buy a turbo kit for it, so I planned on trading this car, doing the body swap and a few minor bolt on's for a quick little daily driver car. I'm stuck in a pickle here guys, what do I do? Perfomance vs. looks? 99' is black on black leather and the 95 is red with grey cloth. You opinions please:confused:
 
I believe you will need the hood unless you don't mind some unsightly gap?? Personally on the looks vs. performance, I spent more money on looks than performance and kinda regret it sometimes. Money on performance is catching up, though! ;) My clutch is starting to slip!! Anyways, everytime I look at my car and see the all show and no go, it still makes me smile... everytime!

yeah, I wasn't sure where to post this. It wouldn't cost to much to convert it to 97' style. I have a race car that dips into the 10's / low 11's but that's not my everyday car. I was planning on gettin this 95', converting it then goin with a 16g or 14b whatever I can get my hands on, intake, exh, and man boost controller. It will be my daily driver but there's always some tool who sees the DSM and wants to run them so I'd like to be packin a little bit rather than a n/a 420 motor. The 95's don't look all that bad, it will just need a conversion and some wheels. I'm at a standstill right now and am confused as all hell. Thanks
 
A different hood is not needed, that's bull. If you plan on going all out and do a full 97-99 conversion then you need these: front bumper, headlights, sideskirts, rear bumper, turbo wing, 97-99 backup lights, fog lights (if you want to), fog light surrounds (if you want to). Fenders are not needed, hood is not needed, sidemarkers are the same.

I would definitely choose performance over looks anyday, at least when it comes to 2G's. This is the only way to go. Also a full leather interior (seats that is) can be had for less than $500 depending on the color (at least in my neck of the woods).
 
yeah, that's kinda the way I was thinking. I've got a bunch of Honda toolbags running around town here w/ their B16 and bull hah. The majority of them I'm kinda friends with and I know how fast their cars are, my weekend car, there's no need to run them because it's just not fair, but if I had a daily driver car w/ a few bolt ons that smoked their built hondas would be hilarious. Anyways, when you say bumper it's just the bumper skin right, or do I need the bumper support as well? I found a front skin for like 40-50 bucks and a wing for 100 so the most expensive part would be the leather int. Thanks for your input.
 
yes all that is needed is the bumper cover and headlights for the front conversion. You will also probably want the foglight bezels and foglights or you will have 2 big holes. When converting my talon i fiberglassed those which, i think looks real sweet expecially with the frontmount.
