Just the other day I experenced like a loss of power between 4 and 5 grand, kind of like sputtering feeling. I recently did a boost test and did not hear any leaks. When I checked the spark plugs they looked to be old and I checked the gap and they were over gapped. I ordered some new plugs and just wondered if you guys think this is the problem.

It's more than possible, but more info would help. What kind of plugs were they and what was the gap? Also how much boost were you running?

Typically if the gap widens too much it can create all kinds of issues including high RPM misses from the spark blowing out to low throttle surging at throttle tip-in.

Platinum plugs in a turbo or blower car are a no-no. Use copper NGK's or Autolite's only and gap them to .028. It certainly sounds like that was contributing to your problem. Also, if the fuel filter hasn't been changed in the last 60K miles, go ahead and do it. It's cheap insurance and not hard to do (or have done).

It is also wise to replace your plug wires if you have any oil at all on the tip of the boots or on the sides it is very possible spark could be arcking out . Tipically this cause sputtery feel in the top . It is most likley plugs and wires.
