ok this is my issue i have a 16g with an internal wastegate and an apexi boost controller now i have triple checked and made sure that everything is hooked up right so i know that is not the problem now when i turn the boost controller off the turbo boosts at a smooth and perfect 13psi so i know my wastegate isnt bad but when i turn the boost controller on and set it to 17psi, exactly where i want it, it spools to 16 - 17psi fast as hell and then starts creeping up to 20-22psi please help going insane triing to figure out.

Are you sure its a boost control problem? I seen you have the 16G ported but did you smooth the divider. You could be getting boost creep caused by the turbo and not the controller. It will hold at lower levels but at high boost it will creep.

but if that was the case wouldent i have the same boost creep problem with the boost controller off? because when its turned of it boosts 13psi perfectly!

So it boosts to 13 when "off" and creeps when "on" and set to 17psi. Try 14psi, then 15psi. See if you can regulate boost with the controller somewhere in between. If so, how high can you go with it without it creeping?

Also, how do you know you had it set to 17psi if it creeped to 22? Could it be that it wasn't actually set to 17? If you gradually up the boost from 13 to 17 and it starts creeping as you go higher and higher, that'd be good to know. I was able to dial mine in in about 5-10 minutes by brake boosting in 2nd gear, so you should be able to do that experiment quickly.

does it hold 20-22? if it holds and your not knocking, why complain? turn the BC off to run low boost (13psi). and on to run hi (22) :D . just kidding. is your wastegate actuator working ok? do a boost leak test and check it out see if you can move it.

i tried lowering the boost to 13psi 10psi and even 5psi and it hits the boost pressure that i have it set to quikly and then slowly creeps up to like 20psi is it posible that i need to adjust the actuater rod?

make sure the actuator arm is being blocked by anything. maybe its hitting your heat shield if you have one? also, disconnect the arm and see if you can move it freely by hand. cold motor. please dont burn yourself LOL. edit, i just learned something. do you have the stock 31mm flapper? this could very well be your problem. before you do any of that put a MBC on the dam thing and see what happens. :D

i have an evo 3 16g, with the 31mm flapper arm, un ported my turbo creeps from 10-22 psi no matter which boost controller i have, the e316g is notorious for boost creep just search and you will see. you shouldnt need to adjust the actuator rod, i dont even know if thats possible. you can port the wastegate exit out though.

Make sure your boost controller is hooked up the right way, i.e. not installed backwards or T'd off the BOV line. My suggestions for the 16G from what I've read about fixing the creep is port the o2 Housing, port the Turbo Inlet, and install a 34mm flapper door. The simplest thing to do is to do a boost leak test and make sure you're not leaking out of your intercooler piping or anywhere else.

the turbo and the o2 housing are already ported and im pritty sure it already has a 37mm flapper door

pretty sure you have the 37mm flapper? This sounds like a straight up case of boost creep. Either the flapper door isnt as big as you think, or the 02 housing/wastegate passage isnt ported well enough, or both. Is it a stock o2 housing? who ported it?

no its not the stock o2 housing its an xspower and yes it does have a 37mm i just couldent remember but i just checked the paperwork that came with the turbo

im telling you. take that electronic thing off and put on a manual boost controller. it has to be the BC. if the wastegate wasnt doing its job then it would act the same way with the BC off.
