Automatic launches---need help!

I am so ready to sell my car. Every time i am at the track to race, my car will not build boost worth crap. I can't boost more then 5 pounds from a stop. When i am out testing my car, it works fine. So i don't know if the tranny is getting to hott or what. I bought a front mount tranny cooler too. On good occasions, whenever im not at the track, i can launch at 15 psi! Why am i having this problem!?! It has done this to me 3 times! I have no boost leaks either.

Check for a exhaust leak (preturbo)

Like danny_l_2005 said look for exhaust leaks before the turbo. Check exhaust manifold and exhaust turbine cracks. If you don't see any cracks it wouldn't take to long to remove the manifold and check gaskets and mating surfaces. When you reinstall, copper gasket spray works great on exhaust gaskets.

I too just got a front mount transmission cooler and have already ordered a transmission temp gauge so I can know when to back off and let the fluid cool back down.

I read that in here on this boost controller so id say this is your problem , The preturbo exausht leak could be causing this to but should be easy to spot . At the strip are you letting the car cool down to much if so it will be hard to stall up if its cold . I always have to make sure my car is warm or else it doesnt stall good at all. The only other culprit would be the wasgate door is not fully closing . LET US KNOW WHAT DOES THE TRICK!

Well, the boost controller was fine. Everything looked to be in order. I have a monster turine housing so there are no cracks. I also just replaced the exhaust manifold gasket with a copper one. I think maybe the car isnt gettin cooled down enough?? LIke i said it launches fine around here but if i take it a long distance then race it, it falls dead.

Mine used to not brake boost at all then i just made sure there were no boost leaks its better now but still takes awhile and i really dont know how much boost it can build cause it over powers my crappy 1 piston brakes. Brake boosting or the lack there of seems to be a common problem on autos. i hope someone can figure out why so many cars have a problem brake boostin

Are you using a bullseye turbine housing buy any chance? What is your turbine?
