I have a problem starting my car normally. For some reason (probably when I was messing with something...) I can't start my car without having to jump the starter. I try to start it in the car but all I hear is a click and thats it. But the car starts and the starter works for sure so I know those are the not the problem. What can it be? Help!

What do you mean by "jump the starter?"

I am going to go with dave99gst on this one and say that it might be the starter solenoid. You should also check all your relays. But now that I think about it you said you hear a click. Is that click inside the car or out? Because if it is outside the car that is the solenoid engaging which usally means that it is a bad starter. You said you know the starter works. How do you know that?

The starter works for sure. By jumping I mean tap the wire on top of the starter with the positive for a while and let the starter work until the cars on. How can I check if the solenoids bad?

It is either a solenoid or the wire going from the battery to the started has infinate reistance and you aren't getting the power you need to it.

Actually it sounds like your starter is not getting the 12v signal to start. This could be due to the ignition switch, starter relay, clutch/nuetral safety switch or anti-theft. Were you playing around with any of these?
