Need Help Building a PocketLogger

Ok, I've done my research and I've come to the conlusion that all I need is the cable,palm,and the software.... Are there are particular palms that work better than others... Is there a "best choice" on the software? I've got some money and I'm trying to buy all the neccesary parts first. I got my boost leak tester, compression test kit, mechanical boost guage, and I figured this would be my next tool that I would need to assist me... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can also get pdas pretty cheap on ebay, I think I paid $15 for my m505. As for software, I use MMCD which is free, and you can get it here:
http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/

They also have a list of compatible pdas. Hope this helps.
