I have messed up my seven bolt motor and am in the process of doing a 6 bolt swap. I am currently trying to decide what to have built. I am probably going with FFWDConnection. I was going to get a 6 bolt block with a 2g head. Thinking pretty basic...ARPs for sure. The question is, I was thinking about going with the Weisco/Eagle combo with a CR of 9.0:1. My car is almost completly stock. With this new engine will be a new 3" turbo back exhaust, a ACT clutch, and at least a 190lph fuel pump rewired. Running stock boost (on my almost new EVOIII) will I be okay without fuel management.

I would go with a whole 1g motor instead of the 1g block 2g head combo...also go with the 255lph fuel pump...if you don't have any fuel management, try to keep the boost low 12 psi.

Go talk with Darren at FFWD, he will hook you up. If you are only going to be running stock boost then all you need is a wally 190, depending on the octane you use you can up the boost a few more psi, without upgrading your injectors. I would go with a 1G head as well, heres a link that compares the 2>>>http://www.vfaq.com/mods/1G-2G_intake.html, 2gs crap out in the topend, its more for low/mid power. The intake and exhaust ports are larger on the 1Gs allowing for better flow.
