Engine Swap

I wanted to know if it was possible to swap a 4G64 motor out with a 4G63T. I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. This would be something different to do than just buying a 1995 to 1999 GSX or GST. I wanted to hear some feedback on thoughts and suggestions if this can be done, how to's and what you think of the idea in general. Thanks.

If you search some you will see that people do this with a 4G64 block, a 4g64 crank, 5.9" rods, 2.4l stroker pistons, and 1G heads. This essentially is the same thing as your talking about, but as for pulling an entire 2.4l engine, Im not sure if there would be any clearance issues.

If I did do the entire swap of the engine and transmission, do you think that there would be that much of a size difference that I would have to worry about clearance?

I've been hering more and more about 3G guys swapping Evo heads to their 2.4L engines. You might go check out Club 3G and start searching over there. Not much tech over here for the 3G.
