uh.. im gonna piece together a turbo kit consisting of that turbo yes. i just need recommendations about like.. what size injectors, fpr, and everything like that. I will be getting DSMlink too i think... if that is a good invstment.

The problem is finding it. They aren't big around here. And I dont exactly have like 2000 on hand for one hahahah.

True this, but I'd rather be able to get the parts and upgrades and stuff over time. all the while doing small things leading up to the big things? If that makes sense.

In the end you'll have alot of money in a fwd tire shreddar. If you can save parts over time, save money over time instead. In the end you'll seriously regret it. Beleive me, I once had a NT also and after buying a turbo fwd parts car and many other things to support big numbers, I came to the final conclusion of AWD=Ownage :coy: and sold off that idea. Now I couldn't be more happier with my decision.

Eh maybe ill just try to get a AWD.

But if this motor runs strong maybe I wont.

I mean, everyone is running AWD. And factory turbocharged. I think it'd be cool to make it past all that stuff and throw out a FWD convert that kicks a lot of ass. I mean, yeah it'll cost a lot, but in the end it won't make a huge difference. I plan on taking my car past turbo DSM power anyways. So I just be wasting money in buying a turbo'd car just to replace the turbo. Yea the engines are supposedly stronger, but when I'm done upgrading my engine it'll all be the same.

But it will still be FWD? I say save and get AWD, traction is yummy... So are AWD donuts...

ehh. heh. It really is a tough desicion. But I think I may just keep trying to get this car moving, and if it starts being too much of a hassle then trade it off for an awd. I reallly reallly don't want to go through all the crap with searching for a GSX. Although, a 2g GSX would be a nice next car.

Someone say my name?

On another note, I agree with the others. The AWD turbo platform + cheapness + cheap parts is what drew me to this community.

If you want to turbo it and have $3700, here you go - http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=5331& - this is the intercooled kit with fuel upgrade.

An important note:
This means that you can effectively turbocharge your eclipse with a 420A engine on the stock motor at 5-7 psi, or opt in for the monster bar and plate front mount intercooler and let that built bottom end you are running see 10-15 pounds and be ready to hold on!

to thread starter,

just get a maini and a turbo,o2 housing and downpipe.

get steelbraided ss oilfeed lines and andaptors(or get the original oil feed, whichever is cheaper)
waterlines..get either a waterfeed kit (ebay cheap) or try and get a turbo water pipe.

get an afc and turboinjectors and a resistor pack ( or get a turbo ecu and run the three wires through ...no need for a turbo harness)

theres a great thread on here..

and the key is: dont try to emulate the turbo model ..just make it work like a turbo car.
some people go overboard and go turbo evrything, some even use a turbo wiring harness..too much work.

so..the others guys keep telling you to buy a turbo car.. but you know your car... who knows what junk you might be buying..

and.. the nt gives excellent throttle response ,just run that 16g at 9psi (its stock setting)
and it will fly like a turbo car running much more than 9si boost ..its been done ,just check out the nt to turbo thread section.

and if you buy good used parts ,you can pull this off for cheap!

I think some people are getting confused here. Doesn't he have a 1990 non turbo?

Those don't have a 420a that's a 2g thing.

Doesn't he have either a non turbo 4g63 or 1.8l ?

Yeah, I'm not even gonna go here with people LOL. I run a 4g63 NT. I think they are messed up cause I mentioned my next car being a 2G GSX LOL.

Okay I hav found a -4AN oil feed line. will I need the 90 degree end cap or no?
I think it'll be safe to go with an SBR intercooler correct? if I even need one.
I found some of th estuff, but a lot of that I cant find ro im looking in the wrong place.

whoa ,wait until you have the turbo in your hands at home before you start ordering oil feed lines..

i used a -4an line, and two 1/8ntp to -4an 90 degree adaptors..but those fit my bullseye turbo..i took the oilfeed from the oilfilter assembly where the oilpressure unit was(used an adater T also 1/8ntp)

but i dont know the 16g threading.. so wait till you have a chance to measure stuff up.
you dont want to spend money twice do you??

measure twice, piece your setup bit by bit togther to start figuring how you want to run things,

i would look for alot of stock parts like intake hose and lower and upper intercooler piping used off members here or ebay (the classifieds is a gold mine waiting to be explored)

I'm not getting the Evo anymore probably. A guy here in Reno is selling a 16G off a 92 Talon that I'm gonna go check out. If that is all in order I'll start planning around it.

ask him if he has intercooler ppiping and the other stuff you need..also remeber to get the j pipe! you need it

okay well I was gonna just get the intercooler off someone in the classifieds on here... and what is the Jpipe a part of? Turbo, or IC?

The J-pipe connects to the turbo outlet and then connects to intercooler piping.
