Ok, so I'm encountering this boost spike problem and am thinking maybe the AVC-R might stop it or at least help. I have the thing sitting in a box because I couldn't figure out how to work it when I bought the car so I just put in a Hallman MBC instead. I've attempted to read the 60+ page manual about three times now and it still makes no friggin sense to me. All I want the damn thing to do is work like an MBC I don't care about rpm and gear specific boost. Is there even a way to do that? I'm basically asking if there's some way to just set it at 1bar and be done with it or some learning feature that I don't have to program in all the parameters?? I guess I'm just retarded and need someone to dumb this thing down to a level I can understand. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can't help you with the AVR-R, sorry.

But... your boost spike might be related to how your MBC is hooked up. Are you T -ing off the BOV or the turbo/IC pipe for a pressure source?

If you are still using the T25, do this -
1) Run a vacuum hose from the intake manifold to the blow off valve. - Don't T off anything from this hose, leave it alone.
2) Run a vaccum hose from the T25 nipple (it is somewhat under the 90* curve) and hook it up in the 'out' side of the MBC.
3) Run a vaccum hose from the wastegate nipple and hook it up to the 'in' side of MBC.

Do a run and see if it spikes.

I'm running a 14B and I'm directly into the wastegate actuator and the Jpipe nipple.

Steve you need to get a ported O2 Housing!
Also before you re-hook up that AVCR dbl check the wiring install.

You were the one who took it off the car maybe you should check it LOL. And I don't have money to spend on the O2 housing right now and I don't trust myself to do the porting of the stock one.
