2G Spyder 2.4l Performance Mods

hey, im new to the eclipse. my girl is buying a 98 spyder gs with the 2.4L
does anyone know who makes the 2.4L mitsu or chrysler?
is it a good motor?
what mods can i make eaisly since its not a turbo?
where can i get parts (stock or performance)? i mostly see stuff for the 2.0 not the 2.4

the 2.4L is a real good motor. Im not exactly sure if it is a mitsu motor or crysler. There may be a turbo kit for it if you want to go that root.

all you need to turbo the car is a stock mainifold and a turbo your choice I used a new t-25 I had at the shop stock 2g smic and pipeing, intake and the turbo t.b. and elbow,all the oil and colent lines, o2 housing and a 2g fwd down pipe then just bolt it on the car. I have used this in my car for a year at 12psi with no problems. I will be getting ride of the set up soon sence I will be putting a evo3 motor and tranny in my spyder

just got the spyder and its sweet. i was surprised how decently fast it was. thanks for the input about the turbo. that will probably be what i do.
