How can you tell if you have a bad 02 sensor? I've been watching my logger like a hawk and my o2 readings never seem to go past 0.01. Usually stays at 0.00. If it is bad I know where I can get one for free but it's from a 97 n/t. Will it still work for my car?

when watching your logger at idle, the o2 sensor should cycle. is it cycling?

When looking under test mode it goes up and down from 0 to like 30 something but so does the rev but my car isn't reving. During didital mode it doesn't hardly do krap. Maybe I'm using my logger wrong or something.

What is test mode? Your logger should display only raw o2 voltage. It should range between 0.00 and 1.xx. If it does not cycle as it should, then either your sensor is dead or your fuel trims are too far out of whack. Chances are your sensor is dead if you are getting poor gas mileage, blowing out black smoke, and low numbers from the sensor.

My original o2 sensor worked just fine on low throttle, but as soon as I got on it the voltage would drop to 0. Got a new sensor and it's ran great ever since.

So will an o2 sensor from a 97 non turbo work on my 96 gst? iIf so I'll install that sucker tomorrow and see what happens.

I'm having thoughts on my o2 sensor. Here's a log. Even if we try to rich it +4 on the SAFC, it doesnt change voltage, but my airflow reading changes as we try to rich it. Got bad knock also.

Post a WOT (100% tps) run for your log to get accurate readings. I like to start around 2k in 3rd gear for logging runs. That way I get the full specrum of readings.

I see. I'll do that next time. Base on the log, do you think my o2/knk sensor is whacked?

I've tried riching above 3k rpm, but cant get the o2 sensor voltage to go up and cant also shake off the knock.

You are showing very lean with massive knock.Check fuel pump, afpr if you have one,
fuel filter should be changed.
Try richening up your tuning on the safc unless its not working. Change out 02 but your knock tells me you are mega lean just like the 02 is showing.
