Using DSMLink and SAFC??

Okay, here is my situation. I have a 95 GST with a BigT28, fmic, blah, blah, you get the idea. I need to tune the car with an safc that will remain in the car permanently. But...I also have DSMLink for my 95 GSX that will need it's tuning power. Here is my question: Can I utilize DSMLink for it's datalogging abilities (with the settings zeroed out for 450cc injectors) and tune with the safc? When I'm done tuning, the factory ecu is going in (even though it is eprom, unchipped). It would be nice to log knock, duty cycle, etc. with dsmlink until i have the safc tuned well.

The DSMLink is superior to the S-AFC. There's no need for both, but I get the impression you really don't know what either are or how they work. You CANNOT use a DSMLink with the stock EPROM chip. It has to be socketed, and the DSMLink EPROM inserted in the socket. If you remove it, then it's just like you never had it in the car.
Using the S-AFC when you have a DSMLink is pretty counter-intuitive.
 
If I understand what you're saying, you want to use a DSMLink, programmed just like a stock ECU in your SAFC car. All adjustments would be made on the SAFC with the DSMLink just used for logging?

I suppose it might work. I personally would just use an OBD-II logger on the SAFC car with the ECU in place that you intend on keeping in the car...

How about this, before you mouth off to me, read and comprehend what I wrote. I have been tuning safc's for 3 years, and dsmlink for several months. I know very well the capabilities of both. I bought DSMLink for my GSX, but would like to use it for datalogging my other GST which has an safc b/c it doesn't need the tuning power of DSMlink.
