I DID do a search BTW, going on over 30 min. now. I want to know the best way to build some ducting. I dont have any now because I started out non-turbo and want to get airflow squared away on my car. If anybody has any visuals or pics of their ducting construction, PM me or post here with some good-to-follow pics.

Ducting for what? Brakes, air filter, radiator, interior. It's all going to be done a little different.

LOL! I wasnt very specefic about my goals. Its for the radiator/fmic and front bumper. I dont like the gaping holes where the stock fog lights are, and I want to try and force more air past my FMIC and into my stock radiator.

Good ideas. I was planning on just using a few pieces of sheet metal to create a "box" on all 4 sides of my intercooler to force air through the radiator and a/c core. I will have to look into your idea of piping air from the other holes available as well. GOOD idea!!

A few members on here have a very thin but long box mounted under their fmic that hangs down about 1" below their front bumper that scoops up air and directs it behind the fmic. They all claim that it works wonders and is hard to see unless you are looking for it. I cant seem to find the thread now, but there was one floating around not too long ago

**edit** not the exact thread i was looking for, but here is an example. Scroll about half way down and check the two pics of the blue 1g. Personally I like it, and if it works, than even better! http://www.dsmtuner.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152625&highlight=fmic+scoop

I looked at that pic of the scoop he made, it doesn't QUITE tickle my fancy.....but overall, a good functional idea. I don't like the way it hangs out of the bottom. If you hit a parking bumper or speed bump, that could be the start of a bad day. I have a Starion, so its not too wide. I trimmed the living hell out of the crash beam and moved the power steering cooler behind the latch support. That allowed about two inches for air to travel over the FMIC and back to the radiator, but as for the sides and the side openings, it looks tacky as poo....Could those side openings be fitted with some functional ducting for something? It has negative effects on aerodynamics and drag with it JUST open, right?

Simply wall off the area between the fmic and radiator to keep air from finding another path. I'm going to attempt something to this nature if I can find some cheap thin aluminum or other material to work with.

What about thin sheets of abs plastic or something? Thats easy to work with, no power tools required. Would something like that be at Lowe's or Home Depot?
