Yesterday I was able to transfer the title and so on for my Talon. I paid a whopping $750 for the car which is a '95 AWD Turbo with 118K miles on it. I have a post in here somewhere when I first discovered I was going to purchase the car. In the meantime, I've been working on purchasing 24.5 acres to build a house on but the land also has a sweet 30x40 garage already built. So on Friday, I found out the land deal was going through and then Saturday, finished the purchase of my vehicle. Other than having to work both days, it was a good weekend.

On to the point if there is one. I talked to my friend who owns a trailer and was trying to make arrangements to have it brought over to my new garage as it is a salvage title and needs some lovin'. He asked if it runs because it would be much easier to load this way since he doesn't have a winch on the trailer. My only answer was the previous owner said it did run but it has been sitting for over a year. Since my afternoon was open, I decided to investigate myself. I traveled over to where the car currently sits and opened the hood. I new there was little to no coolant in it but I checked the oil and so on. I figured what would it hurt if I tried starting it and let it run for a few minutes. So I hook the battery jumpers up and let it sit for a minute. As soon as I sat down, I noticed the clock worked so there was a positive sign. I decided I had waited long enough and turned the key. Away she went although idle was a bit rough at first. I proceeded to give it a small throttle bump and everything appeared to be working.

So, I took the cables off, pushed it into first and pulled ahead about 12 feet. Still running fine although I was constantly monitoring the temp guage. Back into reverse and it moved just as smooth. Plans are to pick it up next weekend and take it to my new shop for repairs. I already landed a stock hood, both headlights, some GSX rims, and a GSX tail fin. Sorry to bore all of you but this was pretty exciting for me. Here is a picture so you all can be as amazed as I was.

That hood looks like two bears were having sex on it.

Picked up a used hood for 100 bones from a guy that replaced his with carbon fiber. The most difficult finds so far are the rad support at a decent price and the entire fuse box. Is there another name for that beast?
