I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi. The car has been running for just over a week. I got it with a broken timing belt. After replacing the head the car ran fine for several days. Then it started making this whine/squealing noise. I figured it was just a pully rubbing on the timing belt cover. But after making sure that all belts and pullys were clear the problem seemed to get worse. So I stripped off the belt cover and discovered that several of the timing belt wheels spun really rough so I replaced thoise and was about to put the timing belt back on when I noticed that the oil pump sprocket was really hard to turn. But when the car was running it would build good pressure. Also after the sound got worse the car would die when I would press in the clutch, I'm guessing from the extra friction of the TB wheels not spinning well, and the car was really down on power. I wondering if I should go ahead and replace the oil pump since they are kind of expensive and its very time consuming to replace. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Matt
PS: Does anyone have any hints on removing the center differential and drivers side drive shaft? I've been fighting them all day and can't get the center diff to budge.
