Its ME,
(I have a 90 Talon TSI AWD Turbo)

I took my car into an audio shop to get an eclipse deck installed. After the installation i noticed my tachometer doesnt work anymore. I was pissed and told them about it... They said to take it to a shop and get it diagnosed, so thats exactly what i did. It took about 8 hours for a dealership to diagnose it and guess what? They cant find the @#! problem! They said the wires and tach gauge were good... Screw them! 8 hours for nothing... man i am pisss'd!

Does anyone know what went wrong? or how to fix the tach thing to get it to work again? What makes a tach work? Is my ECU dead on the tach signals? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have also replace the coil pack and no luck...

Unplug the radio and see if your tach works. Sounds like they tapped the power line for the tach to power the radio. The voltage drop would kill the tach. If you have an amp they might have thought it was a power antenna feed (normally used to turn the amp on) as well. Rewire the radio to draw power from an ACC terminal in your fuse box directly.
