Pacesetter downpipe with Apexi N1 Catback

I recently bought a 95 GS-T and it already had a Pacesetter downpipe on it, which is connected to the stock cat and exhaust. I wanted to buy the GT downpipe from Apexi but i live in Chicago so I wont pass emissions so I decided to stick with the Pacesetter downpipe but my question is this:

If I get the Apexi N1 exhaust, the piping on that system is 3" so how will it bolt or hook up to the stock cat? Will I have to get a 3" cat or does the Apexi N1 catback come with some kind of adapter to hook up to the stock cat? What are my options?

I believe the Apexi catback flared down to a 2.5" size where it bolts to the cat. So it should fit the stock cat.

No, the Apex n1 catback does not flare down. If you buy the 3 inch system it comes with an adapter so that you can bolt it to the stock cat if you so choose.

Not sure. I know about the Apex step down flange because it's sitting here being used as a paperweight.

For the thread poster...any of the big name companies will offer some way to connect a catback to the stock cat, but seriously, who wants to run the stock cat? Keep your pacesetter and cat for emissions day, step up to a apex, buschur, roadraceengineering downpipe or something else 2.5 to 3 inches, minus the cat.
