Yes the engine are the same, however the sensors are somewhat different. Swap all sensors off the old motor onto the new one and it will be a direct drop in a everything will be right. Pretty much your only going to be using the new block/head and stuff.

There are little differences between the two. Here are some things to look for:
-Use the 90 TB
-Use the 90 Coil pack
-Use the 90 Fuel rail as its configured different
-Use the 90 oil filter housing, you should get a new gasket when you swap the housings
-Use the 90 water pipe

Basically you'll use the 92+ bare longblock and install all the 90 accessories. The motor mounts are the same.

Now for your big problem; Flywheel. Most likely it will be a 7-bolt motor as the 4G63's went to a 7-bolt in mid 92. You'll need a 7-bolt GS-T flywheel for your swap. You'll also need your GS-T inspection shield.

but the car will run fine as long as i put the factory sensors for my car back in correct, the rest of the bolt-in will be simple...the reverse of the un-installation

so i wont have to make my own harnesses right, or slpice some wires ito new harnesses, they just "clip" in??? or are those the sensors your talkin about??

also this engine will be goin into a 5speed gs-t not the auto....i sold the auto and picked up this 5spd....it has the same problem as the auto, so i desided to swap cars and fix this one up...i got sick of auto wasn't much fun....

my ecu will run fine w/ this motor correct?? also how do i tell how many miles are on that engine, i dont know if he is just sayin theres 112,000...is there anyway to check that...also how do you tell fit he engine is a good, if you cant start it up until i got it in the car???....i checked out the block/head seal, no oil comin out between those connections, but is there anyway you can tell if there is damage before you drop it in the car????
