ECU Problem

Hey guys i hav a 2g eagle talon 1997 tsi. i live in N.H. im trying to get my car inspected but if fails and the computer inspection print out says that it is NOT READY on the edmission print out of the obd2 inspection unit that the state uses. I had a check engine light for a manifold differential pressure switch. I had a CEL for almost a year because the car ran fine and the sensor was almost $200. I finally replaced it and had the CEL cleared. Then I go to the same mechanic to get the inspection 2 months later and it says not ready on everything. All he can tell me is to just drive it. It has now been 1000 miles later and nothing has changed.This is my third Eclipse/Talon never had this problem before. Is my ECU gone?? and how many miles do i have to drive for the code or the reset to take place

we need more information on this like what mods you have done because mods can really throw a stock ecu for a loop.
