Anybody around the Northern Virginia area have any DSMs? I had my 2gnt for 2 years and have only seen like 2 gsxs and now that I have mine (98 gsx since yesterday) I wanted to know if you guys are hiding around back alleys or something. Need to cruise to some meets or something when spring starts up.
 
Plenty of us around. Actually, we just had a little meet this past saturday down in Richmond at G-Force and Hooters, you can read about it here in the Meets Forum. Everyone from NoVa caravan'd down together. You should definately come out to the annual March Meet at Lot-K, past two years that I've gone the turn out is HUGE. Once again, you can read about them here in the section, just do a search on mason, or lot k.

And like Bill said, every March we have an annual DSM meet at GMU. This March will be the 3rd one, so keep in touch so you can get the date and time as it is planned. :thumb:
 
Yeah, but anyone go out to the DRAGVA meets? I never see any DSMs there and maybe we should go out and represent and give me a chance to look at some other DSMs up close and without traveling all the way to South Virginia just for a meet.

Edit: Hey, I live in Vienna, ya ever see a black 2gnt or GSX cruising through on 123 or Vale? Is Team Trinity just a bunch of guys going around or actually pay membership and stuff like that? I am young but am not foolish, and yes I studied up a lot on GSXs during my reign as 2gnt. I remain stock 3 days later after I bought but getting my alarm first as lots of my friends have their cars stolen, got that today and got to get it installed. Then got to buy myself a turbo-back exhaust soon but wondering if u guys meet up somewhere soon so I could drop by and see maybe a quiet exhaust. Have fun guys.
 
been to the dragva meets and dont' really like them. Bunch of punk kids running around in 'fast cars.' Also can't stand their attitudes and non knowledge brains. I also have a bad rep with them because I've beaten some of the dragva cars, on my old 'slow' set up.
 
Yeah, they got cancelled cuz of that. I went to about 3 of em, parked, got out of the car and walked around. I dont get the point of revving and driving around then leaving? I want to see whats DONE to other people's cars so I can get ideas for mine but there was like 1 or 2 dsms at every meet. :mad:

were around. There are actually quite a few DSMs around here. If your looking to hang out and get to know some people, just keep your eye here on the board. Something usually is going on atleast once a month.
 
GSXR8ED, You are really the only 2g gsx that ive seen on the track personally. Loved your car and took a bunch of pictures when I was there, you probably thought I was a stalker :p

Edit: Martin, I will probably stop by tomorrow to order that brake kit. Post something up if you guys won't be there again. Came today and you guys were out, btw what exact street name are you guys on? I forgot.

Just kidding man. There are a few other 2Gs that do come up, but not very often.
 
whats up everyone. went to the dsm gathering at GMU last year but only found out about it cause some kid jumped infront of my car while i was driving around Potomac Mills. Anyone got a date for it this year. Also know any good body shops, lowered my car 3 and cracked the front fascia, so wanna get a full kit, and a great paint job. Hit up the aim if anyone is hangin >Later :talon: :cool:

Incidentally, I noticed my car is on the front page of team-trinity's site (closest car near the bottom, silver). How long has that been there?

haha you saw that huh! We just updated the sight late last week like Thursday. Glad to see other people are looking at the sight
 
whats up fellas,

20yr new to dsms period. live with my parents at the moment in massaponax. just traded in my 2003 tiburon gt black with red gills last week and now have a 96 eclipse gsx auto :cry: .. cheaper on insurance and car payment so thats all that matters to me LOL.

installed a K&N FIPK over the weekend, and got the windows tinted 20% all around

ordered

groundwire kit
apexi turbo timer
dragger muffler for custom 3" exhaust
high flow downpipe
taillight covers (ugh it was $14) LOL
waiting to hear back from a friend in FL from newtiburon.com (my old home) about a boost gauge..

then i will be saving up to modifying suspension as much as possible

then back to modifying more performance/visual

like i said im new so any tips or good buys would be appreciated been readin hella lot on al kinds of dsm info from the site. :thumb:
