Diamond Star Tuner Association DSM Meet
Diamond Star Motor Enthusiast Meet
Held by the Diamond Star Tuner Association
We've been planning this meet for quite some time, but after all of the water that the Des Moines area has accumulated around the time of our scheduled date we had to reschedule.
Our new rescheduled date is set as:
Saturday July 12th, 2008
We will still meet up at the same location:
Grand Avenue Parking Garage
Top Level Of the Garage
625 Grand Ave.
Des Moines, Iowa 50309
As before please RSVP by leaving a post on this thread.
You can also check my blogs for more information on this meet.

Thanks,
Zach

I'm in.
I don't see why we wouldn't do the cruise, unless Mother Nature decides to menstruate again... f*cking bitch.

The Gray's Lake cruise will also still happen if the weather conditions permit it.
We will also still be swapping parts as said before.
Thanks,
Zach

Alrighty, put me down. Might as well count my brother, although I think he will be riding with me or another friend.

So the most recent thought I've come across that I'd like to discuss on this thread is what all people will expect from this group, the Diamond Star Tuner Association. What do you guys want out of this group: - Decals for our cars
- A group website with the details on meets and events
- T-Shirts
- Membership Cards
- Etc.
What would you guys like to see happen? Personally I'd like this group to continue to grow and would like all of these things eventually, but I would like the input of the group.
Thanks,
Zach

Of course you can make it to Waterloo and the meet! Don't be a slacker now...
On the topic of the DSTA (or DASTA?):
I wouldn't mind seeing everything on the list, but I think membership cards are a bit over the top unless we morph into a nationwide thing. Also, I would rather see window decals than bumper stickers, but that's just because I don't like putting bumper stickers on my car...

Of course you can... I will be.
Also, I think window decals are probably a good start.

I haven't seen the white Eclipse with the carbon hood lately, probably for the past week or so, but that green ESi reappeared yesterday. I'll try to keep a lookout for the white one, and try to get the attention of the guy in the other white Talon to pull off or something the next time I see him.
Let me know which ones you leave notes on so we don't double up... Also, leave your phone number, so you can find out if they're real DSMers or not, just for reference's sake. Because it's not like they won't be welcome at the meet if they're not...

Yep, that was me. I didn't notice your idle surge, but I saw you there. I'm not gonna be at the rescheduled Newton event, but I'll see you in Waterloo for sure.

I completely agree, I didn't think anyone would think I meant a bumper sticker when I said decal, but to clarify it I mean to say that we would be making window decals that everyone would place in the same spot on there car. What spot we put it on at can be decided later. We actually are starting to talk business with the company that makes the dsmtuners.com decals too. So if all goes right we'll have a box full of DSTA stickers ready for the meet. It'll cost everyone some money so that I am not paying all out of pocket, but we will not be making any profit from any of the items suggested previously: t-shirts, decals, website, etc.

It's possible, I'm over by the post office on the south side of Des Moines. It depends which 2G you saw too. In my picture the one on the right is mekal's ESi, the one on the left is my TSi AWD, and the one in the garage is my TSi FWD.

Awesome! How big were you thinking?
Also, we might want to discuss placement here, so we don't have to argue and vote over it at the meet.

My thoughts were that we would all place the window decal on the front windshield or back hatch window in a specified corner.
What would everyone like?
