First off, I just moved here. Oak Creek, to be specific. On the way here, I passed a purple 2g Eclipse on the highway and gave him a wave. He exited on the exit right before mine, so if that was you that got waved at by a guy in a black Eclipse... hi. :) Milwaukee (and Wisconsin in general) is an interesting place. You guys love your divided roads here, huh? And what's up with the ultra-low speed limits on the highways? I'm sure I'll get used to it all eventually, but there are a bunch of really interesting things that you have here that I just don't get. Anyway... I was thinking of having a barbecue sometime this spring or summer and get a bunch of DSM'ers together for some steaks and burgers and get to know some people. I might've mentioned this to some people in other threads and I'm just wondering how many people would be interested.

Second thing: I was watching on the news today that a DSM (black 2g Eclipse or Talon) rolled off I-94 or something pretty close to where I'm living. They said the driver walked away from it and then they went to the next story without saying anything more. Was that anyone from here or does anyone know more about what happened?

ohh poor dsm... yea I am sure you could get some people to go to a barbeque or something. I noticed most of the dsm's are farther up north though. I am about 15 minutes north of milwaukee and in my little town I actually see more evo's than dsm's, It's kinda weird. I have seen a whole 2 dsm's around and about 6 evos. Don't get me wrong though If I could buy a new car it would be an evo for sure,

Ya man we can get a barbeque going whenever. There is actually a BIG DSM meet June 17th up in like stevens point/wisconsin rapids. The thread is in this section somewhere its the WI DSM area one.

About that rolled talon on I-94 his name was Brian. It was a 1998 TSi AWD with a JDM 6bolt, carbon in the interior, gauges, SAFC, Apex full auto TT, FPgreen turbo, FMIC basically everything. It was so clean too it had no miles on it some old lady owned it. I have pics of it at the WIDSM meet from October 2005. Its mint. He is ok too. Not a scratch, he tapped a durango in his blind spot and went airborne. :notgood: Glad to hear that he is still with us.

Good to hear he's okay. Hopefully he can salvage most of the parts from his car and put them into another one someday.

Mr boxx, have you made it out on hwy 100 yet? I just moved home, But i was living in west allis over the summer and winter. I had My 3800 swapped Red fastback Fiero GT with me when i lived up there. maybe you guys seen or raced me? anyway hwy 100 always had action and lots of dsms and people to meet. And i was surprised by the cars there many times. Its when i first gained respect for Turbo 4cyls. I wasnt as fast as i thought.
and i made some freinds up there as well most were pretty nice. heres a cool local DSM sleeper www.lilevo.com check out some of the hwy 100 videos on there too

I haven't been out to highway 100 to hang out or anything. I've heard that it's the place to go if you want to get in trouble, either with the police or with people who want to race. I don't need to do either, since I'm poor and my car sucks. :) It still doesn't stop people from wanting to race me on my way home from work, though. I work at the Checker Auto Parts on 27th, so if you're ever in the area, stop by.

If there were a DSM meet out on 100 where people would be cool and not try to start anything, I could probably be persuaded to go out there and meet some people. :)

Nah, dude, highway is alright, you see some badass cars... You just need to make sure you don't pass a cop twice or you WILL get pulled over for cruising... Anyone know anything about these auto-x events at milwaukee mile or something?
