replace lifters with stock?

So i have a really bad lifter tick.the guy i bought the car from said that the engine was rebuilt but the guy put 3g lifters on one side and 2g lifters on the other. Should i go with all 2g or 3g lifters? Where can i get the lifters without going through the dealer? It's a 96 Gst

Definitely go with all 3g lifters. The 1g and 2g lifters are both poorly designed which leads them to ticking. You can buy individual lifters from MAP (for a massive $35 each) or an entire set of ITM lifters for $100 (which I would suggest).

I've got a set used of EVO VIII/IX lifters from the classifieds on EvolutionM.net, switching to solid lifters appears to be a common modification among EVOs so every now and then a used set will pop out for cheap. You would be obviously taking a risk, who knows what the real reason for updating them was in the first place, so the usual precautions are to be taken (check the seller feedback, ask proper questions etc.), but they can be found cheap. I did clean them as per the several youtube videos on the subject you can find out there and installed them, the ticking was gone for good.
