Here is the rundown on my issue :

* Car has a complete stock fuel system *
My car is smoking black at idle and anytime i rev it too.

I have swapped stock injectors with another known good set of stock injectors and nothing changed. Today i went to a junkyard and bought a resistor pack off a 97 gst spyder that seemed to be in better condition than mine, still nothing.
I'm going to try a different ecu next.

What do you guys think it could be ? Any other ideas ? This is wearing me out.

1 : Boost leak test
2 : 02 Sensor replacement
3 : MAF Test
4 : Check for a BAD pre-turbo exhaust leak
5 : Check your ECU for leaking/bulging caps
6 : Test your Fuel Pressure Regulator

Start there and post details on the tests.

1 : ***Will do this weekend***
2 : Already replaced o2 sensor 3 weeks ago
3 : MAF is in good condition, no codes here
4 : No pre-turbo exhaust leaks, all new gaskets recently installed as well
5 : ***Will check into this as well***
6 : How would i go about testing my fpr ? Do they oftenly go bad ?

I asked myself the same thing. I will deffinately look into a much needed boost leak this weekend and check out my ecu.
I will keep this thread updated.

Also if it matters any, at different points i got p0202 and 0203 codes.

Really? You've never heard of a Fuel Pressure Regulator going bad? It's pretty common for one to go bad and cause a vehicle to run rich. In fact, it happens most often to people running a Wally 255 on a Stock FPR. A very simple test is to unplug the vacuum line running to the FPR from the Intake manifold (Or Solenoid if you're still running that) and put your finger over it so as to not cause a massive Vacuum leak. Then, watch and see if fuel dribbles from the nipple that you just free'd up on the FPR.

Also note that a Bad MAF will not always throw a Code.

I'll try that out. I'm on a stock fuel system though, pump as well.
The maf was also replaced. Maybe i'll try another maf.

Even with the bov if it is open dump it souldnt make it that rich if its was me I would look towards it being the fpr usually when they fail they fail closed causing it to run really rich

+1. First time I've given out some rep in a while.

Little update, took it to autozone to get the cel checked out and same code again ! P0202=injector circuit open cylinder 2 is what it gave me. So it's something electrical related. Tomorrow hopefully I can try out an ecu and see if that fixes the problem.

FIXED the problem, it was the dumbest thing, unplugged all 4 connectors off the ecu thinking i was going to check the ecu but i regretted it cause i got lazy so i plugged them back in and problem solved... Guess i had a loose connector, car drives and idles like a charm.
Thanks for the help guys.
