Well Long story short my cousin pulled apart my motor last weekend :beatentodeath:... and NEVER bagged and tagged ANYTHING.... i have pretty much two buckets of bolts and i have no idea, he broke my timeing cover in half( he couldnt get it out of the car) he pulled out my head. (gasket blown) if some one could help me it be GREAT thanks

Bagging and tagging. I've never learned that on myself. I throw everything into a bucket and play a game when its reassemble time. Usually its not to hard if you just look at the parts, determine the level of grime, the size and the depth. 10 oily m11 bolts, headbolts.... 8-12 rusty fried lookign nuts, exhaust. 8-12 shiny clean bolts..intake.

You played the game, what doesn't belong when you were younger. Just sort it all out by grime and size. oily/clean is prob internal. rustys front of motor, grimeys side of motor, and the backs usually clean.

There is no good way for us to help you on here... post on the forum thats closet to you, I bet a dsmer over your way would help you out if you provided some beer and food!

I wonder if anybody has any tear down pics i could use and take a look at. and im kinda in the middle of nowhere. but i think the beer will just end up being given to my mach. i just really wantted to build this motor my self...

Just wondering does anybody know how hard/pointless it be to rebuild a tranny that doesnt hold 5th gear. it works just shoots out

Anybody got anything

I don't have any first hand experience with your particular tranny, but I think the rebuilding a motor is 10x easier than rebuilding a trans. I can rebuild my motor at 4am,half drunk with absolutely no issues. I find my self cursing at a tranny every time, plus you need special tools. hydraulic press, gear/bearing separators, micrometers, heavy duty impact gun, and access to the shims, or the patience to rebuild a trans over the course of a month as you wait for shims to come one at a time.
