Is there such set up for a 2.4 block with dohc turbo 63 top end. (I'm thinking evo if evo has 6 then it's do able?)

No sir, there is no such thing as a 6 speed tranny for our DSM's. I wouldnt want one even if they did though. 5th gear is tall enough for me.

I heard there is someone that makes a six speed conversion for Evo III transmissions.

Why would you want the 6 speed? All the evo guys swap over to the 5 speed because 6 gears in a 5 gear bell housing = smaller/weaker gears.

6 speed is good if your going to be close to stock or lite mods. 6th gear is just another overdrive to get better gas mileage. All Evo guys who make big power swap to the 5 speed cause there stronger. So not worth all the money to do, get a taller 5th gear if that's what your looking for.

If you got soo many plans, just post one thread with all your questions.

but back on topic, 5 speeds is perfect. 6 speed is over doing it unless you're staying stock with the light, yet tasteful mods.

I'm brain stormy a large amount and I wasn't sure if a sixth gear would mean more to accelerate in or just as they're suggesting. Plus I'm trying to keep my questions in the proper spot, forgetting I'm nub status.

I'll stick with the 5 gears, I was wondering because I had an integra, and my buddy just got a type s Rsx and the sixth makes a huge difference when he gets into it and I'm still climbing fifth

Cmon... You think these are MK1 MR2's or something where you can swap in a 6spd corolla trans? LOL

I may be getting a mr2 from my friend this summer, but ya I would like my car to be fast like them. Lol I love the k20 type s bc it's a 6speed.

Funny thing is, bone stock 6sp MR's are having a hard time keeping 4th gear together.

I don't know about you guys, but when I'm cruising on the highway on my way to work, or hell going to Disney World 300 mile trip, I sometimes wish I had a 6 gear. 3000 RPM @ 60mph, and the faster you go from there, the higher the RPMS LOL.

Last I heard was that they no longer make taller 5th gears. Can anyone confirm this?

So basically you want a six speed just so you can be like an mr2? And be cool and tell everyone you have a six speed and that you shift one extra time when you really don't need to?

No? I want a six speed because my goal is a 600 whp awd spyder by 2014. ...

I heard the same thing about taller 5th gears to.

I also drive my cars 700 miles 1200ish one way trip twice each summer. I feel your pain. Coasting at 1800 rpm would be way nicer on gas

An extra gear doesn't add horsepower

^^^^
Gas milage, higher final speed.

I'm not a "mr2" wanna be... Hence me actually purchasing a mr2, not turning my car into one cause I like it. Why are you so against 6 speed. It's pretty neat idea I think

But the only option you would really have is an Evo 6 speed tranny and somehow fabbing it. But Evo 6-speed transmissions are crap. The gears are so weak. Thats why most Evo owners opt for the base 5 speed tranny. I'll give you its a decent idea but by no means is it worth it in the long run.:thumb: Our 5th gear is pretty high anyways. You should never need to go that fast. You sure as hell wont in the 1/4 mile.

Ya. I guess I could ask around the evo forum for solutions to a strong 6 speed. But if they are swapping to 5 that's probably what I should stick with. But it would be nice to have if it were solid
