this is my first time using dsmlink v2. I need all the tuning advice and tips I can get. The first log is the idle. The second is me driving it slowly. And the thrd is me taking it to 4k with 5 pounds of boost. Please fill me in thanks.

if there is someone in the area that knows how to tune my car please let me know.

You'll want to adjust your value Props. Go to Display > Values and click on a value. If it makes the Prop button available, click it and make sure everything is correct, along with checking the little box at the bottom to save it. Do this for all of your values.

I'd say to disable antilag, unless you just had it on to play with. It won't be needed anytime soon, especially if the car isn't tuned.

Your idle log is not really helpful since you're not logging any of the values used for fuel trim tuning. This is the first thing you want to start doing.
GMAF Calibration for LTFT

I have no idea why your o2 sensor isn't cycling so you might want to look into that. It might be dead.

Adjust your TPS.

You might also want to download the new V3 application and use that instead. It is much nicer to look at and easier to use.

Here's how to adjust your TPS using V3 (much easier).

All of the other stuff should apply, but you'll have more adjustment points and more values (CombinedFT makes fuel trims very easy!).

Do some reading on it and you'll see why it's better.

Also, long logs are not very easy to read. Do your fuel trim tuning and then start working on the rest of your airflow as well as your fuel sliders (you'll want a wideband for this). Then work on your timing sliders.

DO as snowboarder says first! next time you log after you get your fuel trims in order try logging a hard run. maybe 1st thru 4th gear and repost just keep you eye on you knock counts. but i would have to assume at 5psi. your not going to have many problems with knock.

1st thru 4th might not be feasible on the road as that will be way past the speed limit. I usually recommend a 3rd gear pull from 2k to redline, even though that is not recommended on the street as you'll be breaking the speed limit. But, you do it at your own risk.

snowboarder makes a valid point. sometimes i forget i live out in cow country where are roads are long straight aways with no turn offs. and best off all no police dept. also i have access to a closed down airport that has 2 runways for personal planes. but with that said definatly be responseable on the roads. maybe you can take it to a track and do some pulls. i also agree 3rd gead pull would be just as good. i just like to go thru 4th to simulate real world driving.

I don't really see the point in this. When you shift, your RPMs wont drop enough to tune your lower RPM points. I always log in 3rd gear starting at about 2 grand. 2nd can be used some if you're trying to get a somewhat decent rough tune in the higher RPMs and don't wanna/dare go 90+MPH, but the more load (higher gear) the better for getting your tune right. I do mostly 3rd and then check my lower RPMs a little more by using 4th if I feel like the lower RPMs need more adjustment.

your correct about the rpm not dropping enough when shfting to 4th but thats why i start my log from 1st. thru 4th. "like im at the strip" i know everyone has there own way but i like to get an idea of whats going on when i've got the car under full load. also i realize usually everyone pulls there wot logs doing a 3rd gear pull. which is how i started out. especially for my base tune but after that i personally like going 1-4. but to each his own just my .02

How many psi are you trying to run? Try to get your air flow as much as you can, for exmple mine was 38.1 lb/min, and try raising your timing with out getting any knock. I tune with 0 knock, but that is just my thing, some people don't mind have some knock with a lot more timing. But get a new front o2 sensor before tuning it, so you can get some readings and be able to adjust your a/f ratio.
