So the Talon had it's first WOT run today since the stock rebuild (at ~1100 miles), but now I need some help. I'm unsure on where I should richen/lean out the Safc because the timing, knock, and AFRs are not getting along. My "NE Points" are

A quick factoring mod list would be an Evo 3 16g at 20psi, Evo 3 Manifold, 2g o2 housing, Apexi downpipe-back, 2G Mas, Fmic, AFPR at ~38psi, 780s, Uego, HKS 264/272 cams, and a Jestr chip. The safc is zeroed across the "Hi" setting. Where should I start "correcting?"

You see have a column labeled wideband, but what are we logging there? Is that AFR?

Have you done your closed loop tuning yet? If so, what are your low throttle correction factors and where do you have your TPS trigger points set?

Yes, that is the AFR. I have done closed loop already.. still trying to get the idle perfect. I can't remember exactly what the lower corrections on the RPM scale, but from 3000 and up, they were -4. The TPS trigger points are set at 30 and 80%.


On another note, I believe that I might have to throw this information away. I think I have an exhaust leak at the flex section of the downpipe. I'm thinking this is throwing my readings off because the o2 cycle is not agreeing with the wideband readings. When I was adjusting the correction factors at idle using the wideband, the car kept idle-surging. No matter how much I richened at idle, the UEGO kept reading off of the lean scale, when the Fuel Trims were reading very rich. When I 'tuned' using the fuel trims, the car idled alot better.

While doing WOT runs, I'm assuming the faster flowing exhaust air inturn takes in alot of outside air through the flex, causing the wideband readings to be thrown off? Can it affect the readings that much? In the log I have posted, the car did break up, or started to accelerate like a NA car, in the higher RPMs... I'm going to have to get a new flex welded in before I post a more accurate run.
 
Yep, that's exactly what happens. It's called the Venturi Effect and will play hell with a WBO2 reading. I had the same problem when I first installed my WBO2. At idle, the AFR would start out around stoich, then move leaner and leaner, until the UEGO reported "---". At WOT, the reading was way off on the lean side of things.
