Hello fellow DSM Tuners!
It has been 4 months since my last confession, I mean post......
I wanted to post in the last Slowboy thread, but it always seems someone has to end it before I can get a few words in. I am not going to stand here in front of the list, and tell you we are all perfect, that would be crazy. Let me tell you a little about Slowboy Racing Inc., and our progression through 2003, if you feel like a little reading...
Until January of 2003, Slowboy Racing was a three person operation. SBR consisted of myself, my wonderful wife, and Dan R. who was doing our website. Yes, I had one or two part time guys helping me port turbo's, ship products, etc... however, for the previous two years it was only myself and my wife. We worked out of a small machine shop, and a garage here in Indiana Pa. Things were pretty simple, I had a lot of loyal customers, and I enjoyed getting my hands dirty on a daily basis.
My wife and I agreed it was time to bring on our first full time employee in February of 2003, it happened to be Dan Reighard. Dan had spent the previous 6 months working on our website as he had time around his position at the Trib in Pittsburgh Pa. Dan brought some much needed help, as I would typically not even have time to get the phone during the day. I would typically make my return calls, etc in the evening. It was March 2003 that things changed.......
Fast forward to the first week of January 2004. Slowboy Racing Inc. now has nine full time employees. To say things have changed around here would be a gross understatement. To assume we had a few tough spots along the way would also be an understatement. To assume we tried our best through 2003, of course we did! We happen to have 1600 new customers that would agree. ( Which explains why a few people did not get Holiday cards, we only ordered 1500... sorry! )We have went from working in 1000 SQ. ft facility, to having a fantastic 2000 sq. ft showroom along with a new 4000 sq. ft installation facility.
In closing, to those of you who have had a bad experience with us, I apologize.... For those of you who know there is always two sides to every story...... I applaud you, and thank you for your continued support. We look forward to serving you in 2004!
Regards
Mike Huml
