So I was digging through all the files on the computer out in my garage and I found Video from March-June from when my High Compression motor first started running and before i Crushed my 1G shell.....almost made me cry
I had forgotten how loud it was during the summer and when taking it to the 1/8th mile tracks.......all these videos...the exaust was hooked up.....compression on its 12:1........I changed the pistons to a 10:1 set and now have this motor in a 95 GST.....Just thought I would share with everyone. :thumb:

This thing took forever to get running.......

First time it fired up....blew all the dust off the engine bay and shot a 2 foot flame out the tail pipe......

I want to build a high compression motor terribly bad. What did you do to pull off that high compression?

I want around 11-12:1

The Videos are from before i swapped the motor into the 95GST I have now. So it was still non turbo, 12:1. I had to use the turbo 450cc injectors to make it run, and the Cylinder head is from I believe it was an Evo2 loaded with Crower Springs Retainers and Valves, with Eagle Rods and Crank on the bottom end........Just FYI the High Compression runs extremely hot.....def. gotta have all your cooling issues worked out before starting a build like this....I had an aluminum radiator, Oil Cooler and vents run from the front bumper to the sides of the motor.

The Performance was okay it pulled about the same as my friends Stock FWD TSI....well launched the same and pulled about half a car length until his turbo would spool up then they ran about the same. I got a couple of 1/8th mile passes out of it before season ended best I got was an 8.9 in an 1/8th, the car itself was really hard to get used to in the 6 or 7 passes i got out of it. All in all for the non turbo it was really nice but wasnt what i was looking for....when it came down to it I was either going to dump 250shot of nitrous to it or buy a 3000$ turbo kit, i ended up finding the GST shell i put it into a 16G Turbo and switching out the 12:1 pistons i got from JE and getting a set of 10:1 JE's so that it wouldnt blow the motor sky high with the turbo.

Only video i have of me driving it was when i pulled out of my garage, I never got the chance before i started the swap to get any good videos.

Also another Note......the High compression build is an absolute pain in the ass to tune...i ended up shelling out about 800$ to have it tuned right.....and that was once again Non turbo...
