wow i would of shot myself! LOL sorry but its true.

if you dont mind asking, how much was it sold for? do you have pictures of it?

when i bought my 97 gsx i herd someone was going to pick it up monday morning. so i decided to sell my 99 eclipse rs on friday night, i said goodbye to it around 9 at night..... and then took a 3 hour drive and picked up my 97 gsx saturday morning around 8am.

I always (daily) search around for that "perfect GSX". Well, yesterday i found a dealer that had it, a 99 GSX, 1 Female owner and 54k 5sp silver with black leather (my favorite) with not a dent or ding on it. Talked to them last night and set up an appointment to come take a look (about a 2hr drive) on Saturday. OK, everything was great and was all excited and today i got an email saying "sorry for the inconvenience but the car was sold last night". The person who is buying it put a deposit over the phone for it, i would've if he had asked me too, but setting an appointment to view it evidently wasn't enough. I feel like I lost out BIG TIME. Best part is they wanted 9K......... Sorry for the vent......... :sosad:

hey you not that far from boston, there is a dealership in commonwealth ave that has a 98 gsx 39k mile 1 owner for $8000, you should check it out:thumb:

not for nothing, but think about this for a minute.... IF you are able to do the work yourself, what is the reason to spend that much on one of these cars? ok, if you plan on keeping it stock, then you have a good point. but if you plan on modding it out, why don't you pick up a clean one that needs work? they can be had for like 2,000. that leaves you 7,000 to do what YOU want to the car. black interior....$800.00, fmic....400.00, paint job we'll say 1,500.00, larger turbo, injectors, dsmlink, and all supporting mods ... 3,000. , rims 1,000......... ther you go, just for starters we will say that you tie up 9,000 into one that way. but if you buy the car for 9,000, then mod it, you''ll put like 15,000 into it and it will still be only worth 7,000

Thanks for all the support. I am hoping something falls through with the deal, so i can pick it up. Where abouts is the 98 with low mileage?

Use the force my son. You will find another one. I miss out on 3 red dsm's before I got mines. I honestly THOUGHT that I will never find one again. And the one I bought was the BEST of all three.
DON'T TRIP....

My thoughts exactly, but then you still have a car that someone has messed with. I like knowing I was the only one to start ripping stuff out and modding, and knowing it was all done right; no hackjobs.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

My car, although it had just an air filter, ebc, turbo timer, and exhaust, was somewhat of a mess and dirty and it had quite a few hackjobs done to it.
I have done quite some work to mine to get it back to clean and oem specs with no hackjobs.

Best way to start off is buying one untouched as blackgsx said.

Next time you find a good deal, try not to hold out too much. I found my gst for 2k and since i wanted another dsml real bad i snatched it the next day after the car was put on autotrader haha.

Thats why this one was prime. It is modless, and low mileage! Pulled a carfax and no stories... Real bummer. It is under "deposit" so i am hoping and praying that it falls through and it becomes available! Please pry for me!:(

Wow that sucks you missed out on it. 9k seems a bit high though. It did have very low miles. That dealership probably ripped the girl off of it big time. Those perfect GSX's are becoming impossible to find. I thought mine was an insane find. 97 GSX 1 owner, BONE stock, religiously serviced at the dealership I work at, 1 car garaged, 97k miles, loaded and a local car. It found me, I didn't even have to look for it. I got really lucky. I hope you can find one!!!

Tommrow is D Day, hopefully i get a call. Unfortunatlly the 98 in boston is gone also. Anyone know of any clean 5sp gsx in this area?

Thanks
Timmy

Found another super low mileage GSX. Lets see if this one comes through:D

isn't 99gstracer selling his gsx for less then 9k?

And that gsx has been up for a while. I think there is something that detours the buyers. Something's fishy! Or I think he want's atleast 12k's, maybe!
