Snow+Fun= Bad for dsm

Yea so I think I had just a little to much fun. Well I was coming around a corner and gave it some gas to kick it out and just have some fun in the snow. Now there is anywhere from 5-8 inches of snow on the ground and my cars lowered. The front bumper is constantly touching the snow. Well I was going to go down this street but decided not to, I go to turn away from the street and slide into this huge pile of snow. I go to back out of it and I got my awd car stuck in the snow. I plowed into a huge pile of snow, so big that it lifted my car off the ground. It was basically packed under my engine. Now ever since then, my motor has been making this horrific tick. The car has 119k on it, I dont really mind if it blows, I do have a fresh 6 bolt waiting for her, but I'd like her to last through the winter until I can get a dd.


Took me about 20 mins to get unstuck. Was out at 3 am scrappnig snow out from under my car and tires so I could get to the ground.

haha funny this tread popped up. I was leaving home last night, and there are 3 90 degree turns in a row, followed by a long downward curve. As im going through the turns im going up the long curve and i see a brand new evo that came down too fast and he was at least 2 car lengths into the snow. I stopped and helped him and he was like yeah man i guess i put too much of the power to the back. I didnt know you could control how much power you can put to the front or back.

We drove back to my house and got some shovels and sand and he lives one street over. It took about 40 minutes of diggin. The BEST part, he asked if i could drive stick because he didn't know how to rock out. Driving an evo for 15 feet was fun! O and he destroyed his fmic because he didnt have a bumper on. I told him at least you have or had one.

Ive done the same thing, I thought "oh its awd i can go anywhere in the snow" haha boy was i wrong, packed it under my car too. How loud is the ticking, macke sure you didnt dent your oil pan as to where the crank could be smacking it.

No there wasnt a curb. I know the area really well and it was out in the middle of the intersection . The ticking makes me think I was wrong, but I went in sideways and my wheels would have been screwed had their been anything hard.

Like I said, if it blows up. I wont be too pissed off. Maybe just a little.

The ticking is really really loud. Like horrific, its rpm related and I can hear it from inside the car. The wheel bearing just decided to go out so the cars sitting, Ill look at it when the hub gets here. Luckily my 1g awd sold so I can now afford to buy a clutch and resurface the flywheel for the swap

Yea noticed that haha.

jacked the car up and wiggled the wheel, there is so much play in it coming frmo the hub area itself, I dont know how it didnt seperate itself.
