Any one ever heard of V2 coilovers?(e-bay)

I have, my friend (toyota Corolla) bought them, had to drill and sand them all down to make them fit into the struts, i think the hole where they fit over the strut was not big enough. All in all it took him like an extra 3 hours of work. Then in the next week he ended up ordering Eibachs drop springs becuase the coil overs gave him a super bouncy ride(expected with coil overs). Then he sold the same coil overs to a honda civic owner and they fit on with no modifications(other then the ones he made) and the owner is happy with them.

If u look at all the coil overs on ebay they all look the same to me making me think they are all "universal" in their own way, i have no idea if they really are. I would not reccomend them. There are always some name brand products on ebay that u can snatch.

BUT, i have seen the company DROP ZONE on ebay, They are techniquelly a name brand company i guess, but their products are probably going to be as cheap as v2. I have seen a couple DSMers with the drop zone coil over kit, but i do not how well they fit and what kind of things needed to be done (that normally wouldnt for coil overs not bought from ebay) for them to fit.

i have dropzone. they fit with no modifications and make the car sit at a perfect stance. I have absolutely no complaints about them. they werent as cheap as the cheapest ones but they were cheap.

yea - I bought a set of v2 coilovers for my honda. I'm riding on them right now. they aren't great, but i needed some springs to throw on my car, so i just bought those. they are pretty stiff, and it rides alright. so whatever - if you actually want springs for performance, then i'd spend the extra money and buy some namebrand springs, but if you just want the looks and don't care about the performance or anything like that, then sure go ahead and buy some ebay springs.

the rear ones went on with little problems, all i had to do is basicly take the stock ones off and replace with the new ones. i have them adjusted all the way down and it lowered the back about 2 1/2 in. on the front, i just took off the whole strut assy. with hub and all, leaving the brake lines attached. i plenty enough room to work, only did that so i wouldnt have to re-align the front end. anyways, took off the old ones, put on the new ones. i put on all the rubber o rings and took it for a drive. it was making a rattling noise on the front, so i raised it up a little and it stopped. overall, it was worth $36.00. don't u think?
