So this weekend my coilovers came in... I'm a little low on money so i was going to purchase my shocks next week with my paycheck... well when we were installing them, everything went smooth, except for the fact that the car didnt lower any bit at all, even after we adjusted the coilovers to their lowest setting.... please help i dont know if its b/c the stock shocks aren't short enough or if there is one step that i didnt do???

If you can get a camera, take a picture of your install and upload it, so we can see if everything is on correctly.

Some brands of coilovers (like skunk2)require modification to the struts. For the skunk2 coilovers, installation requires you to cut or knock off the ring that holds the oem spring in place on the middle of the strut. The threaded sleeve will then go over the strut body and stop where the ring originally was. WARNING!!! Do not do this unless installation requires that you do it.

I went through 3 sets of coilovers (ebay brand, R1, then Skunk2) and then decided to go with springs. i am very happy now on a 1.8 inch drop.
you may want to consider springs (friendly advice) but that is entirely up to you.
