im confused and need help

ok when i brought my car, i got it from a dealership and they didn't tell me of any mods done to the car. from what i could tell, it was bone stock except for a crappy sony cd player. anyway, i have yet to touch the suspension but lately ive noticed that its lower than some other stock eclipse's ive seen. im an rs with the 14's but there is very minimal wheels gap. i can get one hand (bottom of pinky to top of thumb) in there and thats it. i dont know if thats how much im supposed to be able to get or if there should be more space? i was thinking either my eyes are playing tricks on me and its really not that low, the stock springs were cut, there are actually lowering springs on there already that i didnt know about, or the shocks are blown. i am really doubting that its the latter because the ride is still as good as its always been. any help is greatly appreciated

If it looks lowered, then it should be lowered, cause stock set ups look like 4x4's........not pleasing at all.

But you say you can fit your hand, from thumb to pinky..... hmmm that sounds stock, casue with my car now that its lowered, I can maybe fit 2 figers at most.......

Myabe you can tell buy the ride.... Aftermarket springs are stiffer... so you feel more of the road than with stock springs.

Shocks don't really affect your ride height, gas shocks will "lift" a car ¼-½"

Don't worry yourself about it, your "problem" is one that people spend hundreds to get.
