i have seen several posts on how to do the drum to disc conversion to make the rear brakes that you convert to disc. i want to do this but i want 4 wheel braking. i want all four wheels to brake by using to pedal and not the parking brake. i need to know what parts that i would need for this and how i would do it. i already know how to do the conversion. i just need to know how to make all brakes work at the same time.

DiTTO i also second this post i too would love to know what is needed for this conversion as i have an RS with the sweet sweet drums in the rear. I was thinking of checking the junkyards around my area and pulling rear disc setups of them but ehat all do i need for this i was think something like the calipers, brakets replacement discs and whatever else i would need.

Any and all info will be helpfull, i have searched but not so much luck for me.

What in the hell are you talking about? There hasn't been a two-wheel braking vehicle built since before WWII.

well i knew i have 4 wheel braking all cars do unless you make it other wise, i want to know what is it going to take to change my drums over to discs in the rear of my 96 RS? I found what i beliveive is all i need but just to be sure i would like a second opinion, also do i need to switch over to different brake lines as well?

what i meant when i said 4 wheel braking is all wheels brake when you him the pedal and not just the front 2. maybe if youd read a little better you would understand what im syaing

actually, on all modern cars weather (sp) they are 4 wheel disc, or disc, and drum 80% of braking is still done with the front brakes. the rear brakes do veery little for braking do to the way stock non-adjustable proportioning valves are set up. ( comfort and safety, they don't want you spinning off the road cause you tried to slow down on a curve.)

oh yeah, i almost forgot, DEFIANT, the only 2 wheel braking system in a car that i know of occurs when (gm products, maybe others) a massive leak, damage to proportioning valve, or braking system. causes the valves in the master cyclinder to switch the brakes to an emergency set up. braking would happen diagonally Right front/Left rear and vice versa. I had it happen once, and it sucks.

if you wanna do the conversion i have all those parts also available.
