i was plannin on getting some 19 x 8 axis sevens but i just remembered listening to someone say that the bigger wheels you have the slower and less mileage you get from your car.

is this true? i dont really mind the less miles, but is it true that bigger wheels slow you down?

thanks.

Yes, they will slow you down. They are heavier and the low pro tire doesn't exactly help traction either. If you care about performance, you won't buy 19s.

In all honesty, when i put my 18" Paradymes on i didnt really notice a difference in speed, and these bastards are heavy. But then agian im an n/t so these cars are slow anyways

thanks for all the posts guys!

my friend also says that 19's give you more flats...true?

this guys a dork so i dunno

thanks

It all depends, You gotta be careful around bumps. I have a 40 series tire on my 18's and alot of people put 35 series tire with 19's which will cause a flat easier, very narrow tire wall. But Eclipses are capable of easily fitting 19's on them with a 40 series tire due to the huge wheel wells.
