Tokico Illumina Cap Direction

Hey Guys,

Anyone out there with a 2G FWD and Illuminas, could you tell me the direction the flat spot on your Illumina "caps" faces on top? Mine are kind of loose and spin around a bit, and there are two flat spots on the shock, so I'm not sure what's what. Thanks!

Cool, what times will you be there, b/c I'll be working during the day out in Cary. I think I may have figured it out, too. There is one flat side on the shock, then one flat side that has two threads across the top before it is flat. I'm pretty sure the flat side of the plastic cap lines up with the full flat side of the bolt. I just tested the "1" for each direction next to the "5" for each direction by pushing on the fender, and got a much bigger difference when facing them that direction.

To be sure though if you're gona be up at the dealership after say 5:30 I will come by, I'd like to meet you anyways since I talk with you on all these message boards

We've already met once. I came by in my neon with Toney when he picked up that spare cylinder head for a 2gnt. I could probably loiter around work no problem until around 5:30 or so.

Doh! I completely forgot about that. Cool, I'll head up there right after work tommorow. Might even be able to get out of here a few minutes early. Like I said, pretty sure I figured it out, but might as well compare them to be safe. It's the O'neil Chrystler dealer north from the beltline right?

Yeah, across from Mitsu. I'll be there for a little while after work. I get out anywhere from 5 to 5:30. I'll stick around until about 5:45ish.

The flat spot on the cap goes onto the longer flat spot of the strut not the shorter flat spot.
