ok. right now on my 97 gs i have: kyb gr2s, ractive (toucan) coilovers lowered i believe 3-4 inches. i know its a lil too low, but it is just mean looking. no camber kit. im getting tokico illuminas, 18" wheels. now, heres what i need to know. i want a smooth ride with a slammed look. what coilovers or lowering springs should i get? and what camber kit should i get? thanx

You can't lower an Eclipse 3-4 inches and still be able to drive it. Anyway, Eibach Sportlines drop 2" and give a nice ride, from what I hear. I'd go with that. And DEFINETELY get a camber kit. If you're slammed w/no adj. you're probably eating mass tires.OMG

i have kyb agx 4 way adjustable shocks, front sliding ball joints, rear camber, intrax springs with a 2" drop....my car still rides like sh|t and it doesnt even look lowered....i have big tires and only 17" rims but come on... my suggestion, spend the $ on 19" rims instead of suspension

I'd say go with ground controls, pretty good ride.... for a coilover. Otherwise i've heard the H&R Race is a good spring 2" drop too... then just stick with tokico HP's unless your going to be doin some track stuff. Just around town driving and the occasional fast back road doesn't require the adjustable. Then do the 'free' 2g camber kit on the back, and get an alignment done, and see if you need a kit in the front or not.

well my car is definately lowered more than 2 1/2". if you look at my car, its an 1 1/2" off the ground and the tires are 16" and just barely tucking.

what do you mean 'free' 2g camber kit?

ok, 15 dollars. but it could be free if you had the right washers and bolts laying around. Lots of guys on here have used it. Its basically the same rear shim idea that an expensive camber uses. Theres a link somewhere on this site (i'm too lazy to go find it for you) but just look under the links section of this site, it might be www.vfaq.com not sure tho.
