Front calipers on rears?

Does anybody know if the front calipers will fit/work on the rear brakes?

Why? The front does most of the stopping anyway. You dont need that big of caliper back there.



Anyway, no it wont. The rotors are totally different (spacing reasons), can't hook up the parking brake and other minor things. I just did my rear brakes Tuesday

I know the fronts do most of the stopping. Just looking for a use for the fronts after I put my Baer kit on.

The front will not fit the rear. Even if they did you do not want them there. The Baer Track kit actually maintains very close to the stock brake bias for cars originally equipped with 2 piston calipers. Adding larger rotors and caliper pistons to the rear would upset your bias. You would have way too much rear bias, tendency to lock the rear brakes to early. This would make the car dangerous to drive. When adding a big brake kit to the front it is very important keep the front to rear bias as close to stock as possible, the factory did get it right! The Baer Track kit stays close to the factory bias due to the fact it uses smaller caliper pistons then the stock 2 piston calipers. This compensates for the added mechanical advantage of the 13” brake rotors.

Hmm. I got a AEM big rotor kit for the rears on the way too. It's just a big rotor upgrade.
