Coilover input for 1g guys

I know that most people will say just get this or that because they have them but i am looking for some information from experienced users of different set ups.

I know the common recommendation will be ksports or megans because of the price.

I am looking for a quality coil over for street and straight line racing. I know there are a lot of brands out there and a lot of different setups to look at so i would like to have an idea of why im buying something other than a price.

Normally i would have taken the often recommended setup of koni yellows and springs but since the rears are no longer avail for 1g guys that's out of the question.

please do not reply with one word answers or a brand name without being able to explain why.

I don't have any firsthand info because I still haven't installed the parts I bought, but this thread was really helpful when I was looking for a suspension setup a while back.

There's also a thread that talks about how to retrofit the 2g rear Koni yellows to an awd 1g. Give me a minute, I'm having trouble finding it.

It is true koni no longer lists a rear for the 1g but the 2g rear will actually fit. The 2g rear koni's also have the added bonus of being adjustable while in the car (original 1g rear had to be removed to be adjusted). ok decided im going to do the koni yellows with the 2g rears. Other than the guy that wrote the article is there people running that setup that can give feedback

Has anyone run the Koni rear 2Gs in a 1G with Eibach lowering springs? Or is it pretty much a given that you need to go with adjustable springs to use the Konis in the rear? My car came with Eibachs so that's why I'm asking.

Well the 2g rear is quite a bit shorter so id imagine the drop would be exaggerated by the already shorter shock.

figured as much. i use both of the sites but am more active with the dsm's and corvettes since i own them and my 3s fetish has been reduced to driving a bonestock one.
