Bumpstop HELP!

Hey guys...I got new OEM bumpstops, cut them ~20mm from the "fat" end...and I tried sliding them onto the designated spot on the Illuminas...but the thing is...a feather can push them down...the problem is they keep sliding down with little or NO effort WHATSOEVER...I dont know what the problem is. Yes the struts are for my awd..yes the bumpstops are OEM and the right part..but they just keep sliding down...anything to worry about? Please help guys..

sliding down should not be a prob. no matter where they are positioned the bumpstops will do their job, when the strut/shock compresses, it will keep them from bottoming out.
