Hi everyone...

I made an impulse buy today... I bought a brand new set of H&R Race springs, complimented by a full set of Kyb shocks.
Here in lay the question @ hand. ...
I have stock 16" rims currently... I found out that the springs will drop my car 2.0 in in the front, and 1.75 in. for the rear.
I am to be picking my ride up in the morning, and needless to say, I am scared that 2.0 in. is going to be too much!
Anyone have any reassuring thoughts for me?

Thanks all..

I have the 2 inch drop on my car with sprint springs, call me lucky but i have never scraped yet with it. Personally with 16's on the car I think its the perfect amount to drop your car. Pics in gallery with 16" stockers.

i hope 2" drop isnt too much with stock rims, cuz i got 4" adjustable coil-overs coming any day now.

i wont be goin down 4", cuz i dont wanna buy a camber kit, i will prolly do about 2" or 2 1/2", since i heard they wont cause VERY much "slammage"

Yeah without camber kits you'll be replacing tires about every 6 months....not to mention it's pretty dangerous being your tires are not getting full traction.

dont get me wrong, i will EVENTUALLY get a camber kit when i put my coilovers on, but i dont have the money right now. so until then, i will burn up the rest of my almost bald tires. snow sucks with them...i think i am gonna go rotate my tires tomorrow and see what happens. i cant drive yet, so i just gotta take it thru the driveway a few times and see how much it spins

I have H&R Race springs on my car, and the drop looks really good IMO. The car handles very well, and with the camber kit, I hopefully won;t have to change tires so much. I say go low or go home too.;)

good buy man! i wuz plannin' to run w/ H&R. instead, i ran w/ sprint springs and tokico illuminas. my car dropped way more than 2". the car is basically slammed now. wish the front was higher. but itz alright; i can still get around. put camber kit front n rear.

just remember to drive cautiously. the front bumper can crack at any time on a lowered car. watch out for parking blocks. what i do, is i just back into parking spots. i just risk hitting my exhaust. but haven't yet (knock on wood)

Dropping more than 2" will cause drivetrain issues, especially on AWD vehicles.

Camber in itself will not cause excessive tire wear, but improper toe settings will shear rubber off the rim, which happens when you lower a car (the toe changing that is).

hey thanks for reading this! im getting some matrix coilovers and i was wondering wat brand camber kit is good for this car. i have a 1991 eclipse with kyb shocks, wat do u guys think? thanks.. eclipsekid1:dsm: YO
