Will AGX's RUB?

i just bought a set of 4 KYB AGX's for a 1G FWD DSM and a set of matrix coilovers. now i plan on using 18 inch rims. machv says this will be alright, since i will use 215/35/18 but i was thinking, where the coilover sits, in the front strut....since the spring basket is alot bigger then the coilover spring itself, i cant lower it all the way, which isnt a problem since the car will only be lowered about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. anyways...i was worried that the 18's will rub the spring retaining basket on the front struts. on the rear they slide right off so it wont be a problem there. does anyone see where i might run into problems with this setup? i was thinking of cutting down the spring basket but that would void the warranty on the AGX's (so does lowering it more then 1" but the local auto parts distributor wont tell the difference ) so if u think i will run into anything with this system, let me know....or if u have any recommendations or suggestions, please post them too

It shouldn't rub, but if it does, what we do is trim the base. Never a problem.
