Need new setup, help me choose...

Alright, I'm looking for a good shock/spring combo that will work well with 18s and have good ride quality. I have Illumina 5-ways right now, not sure what springs, but the ride quality is beginning to annoy me, it's just horrible on bumps. Is it possible to get good ride quality with 18s and a drop like I have? I think my passenger side rear shock is blown and I don't know if that'd throw off the rest of the suspension but it really is starting to get annoying, plz help

Shocks control comfort, springs control weight transfer. Your shocks need to have the capabilities to handle the springs (drop springs, coiloers, etc) otherwise the springs will bounce and give you one crappy ride.

Koni Yellows are about the best non-race-oriented shock that is still cheap. (~500-600 as set) After that, the prices jumps dramatically.

So am I out of luck in trying to obtain good ride quality with my car staying as low as it is, and keeping 18s? I guess I need to find out what springs I have and ask again, thanks for the help though man.
