Need an answer to my offset question

I am no good in determining offsets.
I am currently have a 1.6-1.7" drop and will be getting some new 18x8 rims. So, what is the appropriate range of offsets that I should be looking for. Of course the point is I dont want to rub. I do have rear camber kit, which leaves my rear camber out about 0.8%

Recommended offsets please?

Uhm. How in the hell can we tell you what offset to run if you don't tell us what tire size you are looking to run?

Now now dont get all pinchy on monday morning. I am sorry, I just forgot to type that in.

I will be running 225/40/18. Offset?
But, is it possible to run 235/40/18? If so, offset?

Perhaps you could explain to me, or give me an equation on how you determine proper offsets.

Stock offset is +46mm. look for a rim that's between a +35mm offset and a +42mm offset to fit those tires.
