Stock 1990 Brakes

I am pretty sure I will need to do something with my brakes soon. I've herd of the 2G swap into a 1G but honestly the stock ones on my 1G have been fine to me. Is it really worth swaping to 2G Brakes? Is it ok to put larger rotors on while using the stock 1990 braking system, i will get new pads too of coarse. If so what would be any advantages or disadvantages? Any recomendations? Should I change anything else while doing this ?Or just to the 2G swap? Should I just get new rotors and keep the same size as stock?? By the way I have LSD.

The 2G swap you're talking about uses the dual piston calipers and larger rotors from a 93+ AWD. It's a very good swap that works just fine with your stock master cylinder etc. It came stock on the later AWD's. It is a simple bolt on swap that really improves your braking and is not very exspensive.

Does me having LSD limit my options?

Not at all. The dual piston brakes came stock on all 93+ AWD's, with or without LSD. There are no negative drawbacks. All you are doing is bolting on larger rotors and calipers which will have more surface area, more clamping force and therefore better braking performance. Read the VFAQ link I posted. Lots of info there.
