Fellow DSM'ers,

I have a '97 GS-T automatic and am hearing squeeking noises when I turn. I believe it's coming from the rear of the car. Would getting new springs and shocks/struts resolve this problem?

Anyone ever have the same problem? Teh car is completely stock. When i turn, it gives a eerrk errrk errk.

If replacing the springs and stock/struts is the solution, any recommendations on what I should get? OEM? I'm looking into the H&R OE 1" drop spring and not sure what shock/strut combo to get.

MANY Thanks in advance! :)

my car kinda does the same thing. when i turn i get a little from the back and a sound from the front that is god aweful. it sounds like big pieces of rubber just grinding each other. i have no idea what it is. i know i need new suspension. i will prolly go with coil overs and kyb agx shocks. ( i believe that's the name) . however i don't think it's the springs or shocks that are causing the noise when turning. maybe cv joints? i have no idea about anything suspension wise except tires. so if you get an answer let me know. iw ould love to know what it is.

Im also experiencing something similar. Whenever i hit a speed bump, a goodsize bump in the road, or turn sharp i can hear some sort of low pitched squeek from what seems to be the back left. I tried to listen for it from outside the car, but i cant hear anything, only while inside. Anyone know whats going on?

Yeah, it's a very strange noise. SQUEEK SQUEEK SQUEEK. Only when you turn and sometimes if you go over large bumps.

Mine comes from the rear, I'm not sure which side, if not both. Anyone have any idea?

Many thanks in advance.

i have the same squeak on big bumps and such, even before i was lowered. i have narrowed it down to the plastic cover on the inside of the hatch, or the little metal clips that hold the panels in the trunk

Hmm, I *DO* hear a metal clang every now and then!

Have you figured out a solution? Where are these clips?

Thanks in advance.

ya its like a high pitched bird sometimes. the clips are behind the plastic panels and they hold them to the body of the car. if there was some way to keep them from rubbing so hard against the metal, like some sort of dynamat or something, maybe that would work
